Online, your credit is a flat fee to open a private video game. Like renting the room, not buying into a pot. In person, the table is free — there's just an optional tip jar on the way out. Either way, the chips on the table are play-money with no cash value. Nobody buys in, nobody cashes out, and there's nothing to win but the receipt and the story.
